0949 ET - Trucker Old Dominion Freight Line says ongoing weak freight demand is weighing on its revenue. The less-than-truckload carrier reports revenue per day fell 5% in February compared with the year-ago period. Old Dominion says that was due to a 7.1% drop in LTL tons per day that was partially offset by an increase in LTL revenue per hundredweight. LTL shipments per day dropped 5.9% and LTL weight per shipments fell 1.3%. CEO Marty Freeman says the drop in revenue for February "reflects continued softness in the domestic economy as well as the impact of lower fuel prices on our yields." (liz.young@wsj.com)
