Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Monday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) down 0.3% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) 0.8% higher recently.
Capri Holdings (CPRI) is nearing a deal to sell Versace to Prada for nearly 1.5 billion euros ($1.56 billion), Bloomberg reported over the weekend, citing people familiar with the matter. Capri Holdings shares were up more than 8% premarket.
Nomad Foods (NOMD) shares rose nearly 5% after the company reported higher Q4 adjusted earnings and revenue. The company also raised its 2025 adjusted earnings per share outlook.
Kroger (KR) shares declined by nearly 4% after the company said Chairman and Chief Executive Rodney McMullen has resigned following a probe by the board of directors that found his conduct to be "inconsistent with Kroger's Policy on Business Ethics."
