Ballard Power Systems Gets Fuel Cell Engine Order From Egypt-Based Vehicle Maker

Ballard Power Systems (BLDP) said Tuesday it received an order from an Egypt-based commercial vehicle maker for fuel cell engines totalling about 5 MW for the bus market.

The multiyear supply agreement with Manufacturing Commercial Vehicles is for 50 FCmove-HD+ engines, with an initial order of 35 units, Ballard Power Systems said.

The company said deliveries of the 50 engines are anticipated between 2025 and 2026 and will initially support EU projects.
