0924 ET - U.S. natural gas futures shake off overnight weakness and move higher, supported by forecasts for more cold weather hitting the U.S. in mid-March. After overnight selling by Asian participants, "Europe bought a lot of it back as E.U. entities with LNG exposure looked to hedge," Gary Cunningham of Tradition Energy says in a note. There were only slightly warmer adjustments in morning forecasts, "so we should hold above $4 on April unless the noon throws another curveball at us," he adds. The Nymex front month is up 4.8% at $4.320/mmBtu. (anthony.harrup@wsj.com)
