DBS Group (SGX:D05) appointed TAN Su Shan as the group chief executive officer, effective March 28, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Thursday.

Shan currently serves as deputy CEO of the company. She will succeed Piyush Gupta, who will be retiring at the conclusion of the company's 26th annual general meeting on the same day.

Shares of the company were up over 1% in recent trading.
