Kalgoorlie Gold Mining (ASX:KAL) began a reverse circulation drill program at the Lighthorse gold discovery in Western Australia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program follows an air-core drill campaign, which returned significant high-grade intercepts including 17 meters at 4.81 grams per tonne grade of gold.
Up to 16 holes, totaling 2,500 meters, are planned across three drill lines, per the filing.
Kalgoorlie Gold's shares rose 9% in recent trade.
