ANZ Group Holdings (ASX:ANZ, NZE:ANZ) repurchased 249,785 ordinary shares for around AU$7.3 million in an on-market buyback on Thursday, according to filings with the Australian and New Zealand bourses on Friday.
The bank plans to repurchase up to AU$2 billion worth of shares under the program.
The bank's Australia and New Zealand shares each fell past 2% in recent Friday trade.
