1224 ET - Broadcom is guiding for a $60 million to $90 million AI silicon opportunity in 2027 from its three hyperscaler customers, which is a huge step up from the $15 billion to $20 billion addressable market it had last year. But it's still too early to have much conviction in that outlook and Broadcom's expected market share in 2027, given that it will likely face intense competition from Nvidia, Raymond James analysts say in a research note. There's also no guarantee that potential customers being courted by Broadcom will follow through on deploying high volumes of its application-custom ASIC chips for AI, they say. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
