1813 ET - Gap's latest results represented the eighth consecutive quarter of gains for the apparel retailer, whose portfolio of brands includes Banana Republic, Athleta, Old Navy and its namesake brand. These market-share gains were led by lower income consumers, especially across Old Navy, CEO Richard Dickson tells WSJ. "We're always studying the consumer," the executive says. Shares rise 16%, to $22.69, in post-market trading. (sabela.ojea@wsj.com; @sabelaojeaguix)
