Major digital assets were mixed late afternoon Tuesday with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) trading close to the $88,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, was up 2.5% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 was down 0.4% in late trading, while the S&P 500 shed 1.2% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.5%.
Bitcoin was 1% higher at $86,927, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume was down 5% to $68.04 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, climbed 1.2% to $2,150.
XRP (XRP-USD) added 2.4%, BNB (BNB-USD) gained 1.2%, and Solana (SOL-USD) was down 1.2%.
Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) fell 0.3%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) surged 5.2%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.208% at 3 p.m. ET Tuesday, rising from 4.176% Monday, while the five-year yield rose to 4.002% from 3.988%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry increased 0.94% in the past 24 hours to $2.85 trillion with trading volume falling 6% at $168.74 billion.
