YONEX Co (TYO:7906) will build a new factory in Tateyama, Toyama Prefecture, Japan, to expand production of badminton racquets and strings, according to a Tuesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The facility, scheduled for completion in 2027, aims to strengthen supply chains amid growing global demand.
The company signed an advancement agreement with Tateyama Town on March 4. Toyama was chosen for its stable environment and proximity to Yonex's Niigata and Tokyo sites.
