Communications services shares fell to end Tuesday but turned in better performance than the larger market.
The sector held up better than goods industries at risk in the widening trade war.
Warner Bros. Discovery and Electronic Arts each marked a solid up day.
Online, Match Group and Alphabet ended with strong advances, although Meta Platform finished Tuesday lower.
