Mineral Commodities (ASX:MRC) said its South African unit, Mineral Sands Resources, has been placed in provisional liquidation by the High Court of South Africa, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The liquidation was initiated by a secured creditor and was unopposed, the filing said.
