Trimble (TRMB) and Xona Space Systems said Tuesday they formed a new collaboration to combine Trimble's correction services with Xona's PULSAR navigation service to provide improved satellite services.

Xona plans to launch its small satellites in low Earth orbit in late 2026, with service slated to begin in 2027, the companies said.

The collaboration includes an investment from Trimble Ventures to deliver secure, high-precision positioning for users in geospatial, IoT, and other demanding applications using the new PULSAR service, according to the companies.

Xona's PULSAR is designed to work with existing GNSS hardware, offering cost-effective improvement for industries such as construction, surveying, automotive, according to the companies. Xona's signals are expected to reach inside low-rise buildings and provide stronger resistance to interference and jamming, improving coverage in places with poor visibility of the sky.

Integrating Trimble correction services into PULSAR is intended to support reliability in areas where cell coverage is limited, including high-latitude regions and other challenging environments, the companies said.
