Consumer stocks were flat to lower premarket Monday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) down 0.3% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) recently inactive.
Star Entertainment said it is assessing a recapitalization proposal from Bally's (BALY) worth AU$250 million ($158.1 million), which could give the US-based company a controlling stake. Bally's shares rose past 9% pre-bell.
Hims & Hers Health's (HIMS) Apostrophe business said it's being discontinued, with all existing subscriptions to be canceled as of March 7. Shares of Hims & Hers Health were down over 3% premarket.
Wayfair (W) shares declined by over 3% after the company said its Wayfair LLC unit plans to offer $700 million in senior secured notes due 2030 in a private offering.
