Energy stocks rose over 1.3% at midday Monday, in the wake of investor optimism due to delays in US tariffs on Canada and Mexico and a rebound in trading on Wall Street on Friday.
Woodside Energy Group (ASX:WDS) and Nasdaq-listed Baker Hughes signed a technology development agreement to work on a lower carbon power generation platform designed for oil and gas, heavy industries, and other smaller scale applications.
On the flip side, the healthcare sector fell, shedding 0.46%.
PolyNovo (ASX:PNV) said that after issues were raised with the board about certain interactions between the chair and some management team members, the board engaged Philip Crutchfield and Katherine Brazenor of counsel in October 2024 to hold talks with management team members and the chair regarding those issues.
