Arc Resources has signed an agreement to supply Exxon Mobil's Asian affiliate with liquefied natural gas, or LNG.
The Canadian energy company said Tuesday that ExxonMobil LNG Asia Pacific will purchase all 1.5 million metric tons of LNG a year from Arc Resources' Cedar LNG project.
The deal with Exxon Mobil is the company's third long-term supply agreement in recent years, all at international LNG pricing.
The agreement comes at a time when U.S. President Donald Trump has placed sweeping tariffs on Canadian imports into the country, including a 10% levy on energy.
"The agreement commences with commercial operations at the Cedar LNG Facility, expected late 2028, and continues for the term of Arc's liquefaction tolling services agreement with Cedar LNG Partners LP," it said.
