1040 ET - Dick's Sporting Goods CEO Lauren Hobart says on a call with analysts that the company's 2025 outlook doesn't reflect a weaker consumer. Rather, the company is being cautious given uncertainty regarding the geopolitical and macroeconomic environment, she says. Hobart adds that the company is optimistic about consumer sentiment. "Our consumer has proven that in times of stress and uncertainty that they are leaning into being outside, going for a run or walk and going to watch team sports," she says, adding that spending on sports and fitness is more necessary than discretionary.
