Yunnan Copper (SHE:000878) is planning to form a joint venture with Liangshan Industrial Investment to establish a subsidiary in Liangshan Prefecture in China's Sichuan Province.
The new company has a registered capital of 500 million yuan, with Yunnan Copper investing 300 million yuan for a 60% stake and Liangshan Industrial Investment investing 200 million yuan for a 40% stake, according to a Thursday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
The joint venture will focus on copper mining, smelting and processing.
Yunnan Copper shares rose 1% in recent trade.
