Impact Minerals (ASX:IPT) identified a significant nickel-copper-palladium-platinum-gold-in-soil anomaly within the eastern part of the Caligula prospect at its Arkun project in Western Australia, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The anomaly lies over a strong conductor identified via a mobile magnetotelluric survey and an electromagnetic conductor identified in an airborne survey.

The mining firm was awarded AU$180,000 under the Western Australian government's exploration incentive scheme to co-fund drilling at Caligula. These funds will be used to drill the new target in the second quarter.
