Shares of Acacia Research slipped after the company swung to a loss and revenue fell by half during the fourth quarter.
The stock declined 12%, to $3.70, on Thursday, and one point hit a 52-week low of $3.66. Shares have fallen 18% over the past three months.
Acacia, which acquires and operates industrial and technology businesses, posted a loss of $13.4 million, or 14 cents a share, in the three months ended Dec. 31, compared with a profit of $74.8 million, or 75 cents a share, the year before.
