Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) said Thursday it is recalling one batch of levetiracetam in 0.75% sodium chloride injection, 1,000 mg/100 mL single-dose infusion bags across the US.
The company said it is recalling the product due to the incorrect labeling of the infusion bag which reads as levetiracetam in 0.82% sodium chloride injection 500 mg/100 mL single-dose bag, while the aluminum overwrap packaging is correctly labeled as levetiracetam in 0.75% sodium chloride injection 1,000 mg/100 mL.
The pharmaceutical company distributed the batch between Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 to wholesalers, it said, adding that the recall is being taken place under the knowledge of the US Food and Drug Administration.
Dr. Reddy's shares were up 1.3% in recent Thursday trading.
