Pentagon asked for ‘credible military options’ to ensure US access to Panama Canal, CNN reports

March 13 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has asked Pentagon officials to draw up “credible military options” to ensure unfettered U.S. access to the Panama Canal, CNN reported on Thursday, citing a memo sent to senior leaders.

Trump has repeatedly stated his desire to have the U.S. reclaim control of the critical waterway.
