Prospect Resources (ASX:PSC) said induced polarization surveys identified several chargeable anomalies at the Nyungu South deposit at its Mumbezhi copper project in Zambia, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

Field teams at Mumbezhi completed a comprehensive termite hill sampling program over a six square-kilometer area, and of the 1,213 samples, 30 resulted in equal to or more than 200 parts per million grade of copper, peaking at 442 ppm grade of copper.

Field exploration teams will complete geochemical sampling over the strike extensional areas adjacent to Nyungu Central, and infill work at Nyungu North, targeting the prospective chargeable and resistivity-induced polarization anomalies.

A bullseye geochemical copper anomaly was interpreted by Prospect as a new walk-up target to be tested via a phase two drill program.

Its shares jumped 13% in recent trading on Wednesday.
