March 19 – According to news release, NVIDIA (NVDA, Financial) and xAI, led by Tesla (TSLA, Financial) CEO Elon Musk, have joined a new global AI Infrastructure Partnership, a venture first launched last September. The initiative aims to build data centers and the energy backbone needed for advanced artificial intelligence applications worldwide.
The partnership, which also includes BlackRock (BLK, Financial), Microsoft (MSFT, Financial), and MGX, seeks to initially unlock US$30 billion in capital from investors, asset owners, and corporations. When combined with debt financing, total investment potential could reach up to US$100 billion.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said expanding AI infrastructure will convert data into intelligence, accelerating innovation across industries and driving economic growth. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink echoed this sentiment, highlighting that the alliance blends leading-edge technology expertise with private capital to create unique investment opportunities.
Energy experts are also on board, with GE Vernova (GEV, Financial) and NextEra Energy (NEE, Financial) collaborating to meet the unprecedented demand while advancing emissions reduction through innovative energy solutions.
