Brickworks (ASX:BKW) reported Thursday underlying earnings per diluted share in the fiscal first half of AU$ 0.563, compared with a loss of AU$0.272 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting EPS of AU$0.362.
On a statutory basis, EPS was AU$0.158, compared with a loss of AU$0.386 a year earlier.
Revenue for the six months ended Jan. 31 was AU$516.3 million, down from AU$547.4 million in the same period a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected AU$509.5 million.
The board declared an interim dividend of AU$0.25 per share, up from AU$0.24 a year earlier, payable on May 1 to shareholders on record as of April 9.
