North Stawell Minerals (ASX:NSM) reported that diamond drilling intersected visible gold at the Darlington project in Victoria, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The drilling encountered off-target mineralization from 107.5 meters to 110 meters downhole, including several occurrences of visible gold between 108.3 meters to 109 meters downhole.
It does not appear to "spatially correlate" to known mineralization, potentially representing an offset or new zone, per the filing.
The closest drill, 120 meters to the northwest, has no mineralization in the same structural position.
Company shares surged 18% in recent trade.
