Guotai Junan Securities (HKG:2611) completed the exchange of H Shares with Haitong Securities on March 14, with a total of 3.41 billion Haitong H Shares exchanged for 2.11 billion Guotai Junan H Shares, finalizing the merger process, according to a Sunday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The newly issued shares started trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on March 17.
As a result, the post-merger company will assume all assets and liabilities of Haitong Securities, which will be deregistered.
