Huntington Ingalls Industries has secured a $147 million contract for shipboard and shore-based combat training services for the Navy.
The McLean, Va., ship builder said Tuesday its Mission Technologies division will work with the Navy under a five-year task order. It will provide engineering support for the training systems under the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dam Neck Activity, HII said.
Tasks will include installing training-system hardware and software, as well as testing and troubleshooting.
The task order was granted under the SeaPort Next Generation award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity vehicle. Work will be performed at multiple locations in the U.S. and overseas, HII said.
