Diana Shipping (DSX) said Friday it agreed to invest in a newly-created joint venture called Ecogas for an 80% stake in the venture.
Financial terms weren't disclosed.
The company said Ecogas will construct two semi-refrigerated LPG vessels, with an option for two additional vessels. The first vessel is scheduled for delivery in Q1 2027, with the second in Q4 2027.
Diana Shipping said it operates a fleet of 37 dry bulk vessels, and that it expects to receive two Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels in H2 of 2027 and H1 of 2028.
