China Shenhua Energy's (HKG:1088, SHA:601088) attributable profit slipped 3.4% to 62.4 billion yuan in 2024 from 64.6 billion yuan in 2023, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Earnings per share at the power company decreased 3.4% to 3.142 yuan from 3.253 yuan a year earlier. Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated EPS at 3.10 yuan.
Revenue declined 1.4% to 338.4 billion yuan from 343.1 billion yuan the previous year. Visible Alpha analysts forecast revenue at 335.6 billion yuan.
The company declared a final dividend of 2.26 yuan per share, payable Aug. 20 to shareholders on record as of July 4.
Meanwhile, revenue is seen to fall 5.4% year over year to 320 billion yuan in 2025. Commercial coal production is seen to increase 2.4% to 334.8 million tonnes, while coal sales is seen to inch up 1.4% to 465.9 million tonnes.
Gross power generation is seen to rise 1.7% to 227.1 billion kilowatt-hours.
