The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) said G8 Education (ASX: GEM) former director Jennifer Joan Hutson will not face trial after the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP) decided to clear the director's charges, according to a Thursday statement by the regulator.

Hutson's trial, which was scheduled in the District Court of Queensland, will not proceed following the CDPP's decision after a further review of the matter, the statement said.
