TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - In less than a week, Tempo's editorial office received two packages containing animal carcasses. The recent string of terror against journalists has raised concerns about the threat to press freedom.

The first terror package was received by Tempo on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Meanwhile, the second package was sent in the early hours of Saturday, March 22, 2025.

The first package was delivered by a courier with a delivery app attribute and addressed to Francisca Christy Rosana or Cica, a political compartment journalist and host of the Bocor Alus Politik podcast. When opened, the package turned out to contain a pig's head without ears.

2. LBH Pers on Terror Against Tempo: 'Systematic Attacks Reflect Perpetrators' Impunity' 

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Legal Aid Institute for the Press or LBH Pers urges the National Police Headquarters to thoroughly investigate the case of terror against Tempo. LBH Pers Director Mustafa Layong stated that this attack is not the first and has occurred systematically, reflecting impunity for the perpetrators.

LBH Pers, together with Tempo, the Committee for Journalist Safety (KKJ), and the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI), reported this case to the National Police Headquarters on Friday, March 21, 2024, a day after a package containing a pig's head was found in front of Tempo's office. However, there has been no official summons for clarification or an Examination Report until now.

3. Sneak Peek of Nintendo Switch 2's Newest Features, Set to Release in April 2025 

Nintendo has officially announced that the successor to the next console game, Nintendo Switch 2, will be released in various countries later this year. The hybrid console will be launched on April 2, 2025. Leaks regarding the design of the portable game console have been shared through the Nintendo of America YouTube channel on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

"It can be used to play exclusive games for Switch 2, as well as physical and digital Nintendo Switch games," said Nintendo in the YouTube channel.
