Tivan (ASX:TVN) met the high-purity vanadium electrolyte specifications provided by Sumitomo Electric Industries in its test work program for the Speewah vanadium project in Western Australia, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
Japan-based Sumitomo produces large-scale, long-life vanadium flow batteries, the filing said.
All stages of the salt roast test work program for the Speewah project have now been completed, the filing noted.
Tivan will use the results to conclude its assessment of the two vanadium processing technology pathways under consideration.
It will hold further talks with Sumitomo regarding the development of Speewah and the commercialization of vanadium products in Australia.
