1655 ET - Nike's efforts to go back to its roots are bearing fruit, CEO Elliot Hill says. The sportswear brand is again prioritizing athletes and the storytelling that surrounds it through big marketing campaigns such as its first Super Bowl ad in nearly 30 years. The company's efforts have led to an improvement in sequential sales declines across its core North America and footwear business, even if its Nike brandlogged a 9% drop to $10.9 billion in the latest quarter from a 7% decline to $12 billion in the 2Q. Nike shares rise 2% to $73.35 in post-market trading. (sabela.ojea@wsj.com; @sabelaojeaguix)
