Major digital assets tumbled late Thursday afternoon, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) trading around the $84,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, was down 1.9% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 was down 0.5% in late trading, the S&P 500 fell 0.3% and Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.1%.
Bitcoin was down 1.2% at $84,280, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 2.2% to $31.4 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, dipped 2.7% to $1,977.
XRP (XRP-USD) lost 2%, BNB (BNB-USD) gained 1.5%, and Solana (SOL-USD) sank 3.6%.
Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) tumbled 2.8%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) dropped 1.5%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.231% at 3 p.m. ET Thursday, down from 4.254% Wednesday, while the five-year yield fell to 4.005% from 4.029%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry decreased 1.4% in the past 24 hours to $2.76 trillion with trading volume falling 10.3% at $87.3 billion.
