Frasers Centrepoint Trust (SGX:J69U) received approval in principle for the issuance of 96,619,000 new units to raise gross proceeds of at least about SG$400 million, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Tuesday.

The proceeds will be used to repay existing debts and to fund the proposed acquisition of a 100% interest in North Gem Trust and its trustee manager.
