Marriott International (MAR) said Tuesday it signed an agreement with Mullen Real Estate Capital to open a JW Marriott resort in Costa Rica, expected to join its portfolio in spring 2026.
The company said the resort, located in the Costa Elena community in Guanacaste, will have 415 rooms, 11 dining options, 17 pools, and 10,000 square feet of meeting space.
Marriott said the property is scheduled to begin conversion in July.
