Maplebear (CART), doing business as Instacart, said Tuesday it has expanded its advertising products to provide brand partners access to in-store advertising through AI-powered shopping carts known as Caper Carts, starting April.
Advertisers can now reach clients online and in-store with a single campaign as ads will be visible on both the Instacart Marketplace and the digital screens of the Caper Carts, the company said.
Instacart said more than 50 consumer packaged goods brands tested the Caper Cart ads in a pilot program earlier this year.
Caper Carts are present at grocery stores in over 60 cities in the US, Instacart said.
