Cobalt Blue Holdings (ASX:COB) said it plans to launch a scoping study for its Halls Creek Project in Western Australia, focusing on the Sandiego and Onedin deposits at the project, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The study, set for completion by June, aims to assess the project's commercial viability, the filing said.
Along with its Japanese partner Iwatani, the company is engaging with export credit agencies, commercial banks, and potential investors to explore funding options for its Kwinana cobalt refinery, the filing added.
Shares of the company fell nearly 2% in recent Tuesday trade.
