LG Innotek (KRX:011070) signed a 600 billion won investment deal with North Gyeongsang Province and Gumi City to expand its flip-chip ball grid array (FC-BGA) substrates and camera module production at its Gumi plant, Pulse News reported Wednesday.
The investment, running from April 2025 to December 2026, follows a 1.4 trillion won pledge in 2022, when the company acquired and repurposed Gumi Plant No. 4 into an FC-BGA production hub, the report said.
Shares of the electronic component manufacturing firm fell more than 1% in recent trade on Thursday.
