Dollar Tree $(DLTR)$: The discount chain is nearing a sale of its Family Dollar business to a private-equity consortium for roughly $1 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported. Shares of the company, which is scheduled to report earnings early Wednesday, climbed more than 1% premarket.
GameStop $(GME)$: The videogame retailer said Tuesday it plans to start investing in bitcoin, and reported a rise in profit for the latest quarter. Shares rallied 12% before the bell.
Tesla $(TSLA)$: Shares of the electric-vehicle maker fell 1.6% premarket, extending a recent volatile streak. On Tuesday, data showed its sales in the European Union plunged for the second consecutive month in February.
Nintendo (JP: 7974): Shares rose more than 5% in Tokyo after media reports said the Japanese company will soon release a new version of its popular Switch console.
Chewy $(CHWY)$ and Petco $(WOOF)$ are scheduled to report earnings on Wednesday.
