- Richard Magides, a British investor and one of the largest shareholders in 23andMe ME.O, is interested in backing a rescue of the genetic testing company which filed for bankruptcy on Sunday.

- British Steel said it could close its two blast furnaces leading to 2,700 jobs being cut, sparking tensions between UK ministers, the China-owned company and trade union leaders over the closure of the furnaces in Scunthorpe.
