1253 GMT - Ferrari has presented a clear and swift response to the 25% U.S. auto tariff hike, shouldering some of the burden while also making some price increases, Jefferies analyst James Grzinic writes. The bank estimates Ferrari's direct profit hit this year to be rather immaterial, at around 35 million euros, though the extent to which the balance of the pain will be divided up between dealers and clients is still unclear. "Perhaps the main take-away here is the group's unique ability to provide a very explicit response to such a major, and swift, impact on cost of goods sold." The fact that full-year earnings guidance was reiterated confirms the extent to which contingencies had been built into the outlook, Jefferies adds. Shares rise 3.8%. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
