1141 GMT - Shell's leadership are presumably planning to optimize operational performance before launching more radical portfolio changes at a future capital markets day, RBC Capital Markets analysts Biraj Borkhataria and Adnan Dhanani write. The analysts question whether a future strategy overhaul could take place at a CMD in 2027. Despite ouperforming peers since 2023, around 20% of Shell's deployed capital still generates negative returns--especially in its chemicals, power and low-carbon fuels assets, they write.
