Wilmar International's (SGX:F34) near and long term emissions reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative, according to a company release with the Singapore Exchange on Thursday.
The targets were validated under the SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Standard and the SBTi Forest, Land, and Agriculture (FLAG) Guidance, along with scope 3 emissions.
Wilmar has committed to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50.4% by 2032 and has targeted absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2050.
