Accent Group (ASX:AX1) confirmed that it is in active discussions with Frasers, a London Stock Exchange-listed company, about granting the company the right to launch and operate the Sports Direct business including online in Australia and New Zealand, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The transaction may also involve Frasers raising its existing 14.57% shareholding in Accent.

The companies have not agreed on binding transaction documents, and there is no certainty of a deal, the filing added.
