Southern Cross Electrical Engineering (ASX:SXE) agreed to acquire fire safety company Force Fire Holdings for up to AU$53.5 million, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The deal, set to be completed on April 1, includes AU$36.3 million in cash and additional deferred and contingent payments based on Force Fire's earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) in fiscal 2026 and 2027, the filing said.
The company will fund the acquisition through existing cash reserves, the filing added.
The deal is expected to be earnings-per-share accretive by 18% in fiscal 2025 and contribute EBIT of at least AU$10 million in fiscal 2026, the company said.
