Geely Automobile Holdings' (HKG:0175) group vehicle sales climbed 54% year over year to 232,177 units in March, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.

The carmaker sold 86,329 units of pure EVs in March, a substantial increase from the 28,435 units sold in the year-ago period.

Hybrid EV sales also surged to 33,367 units from 16,356 units a year earlier.
