Starwood Capital, which manages Starwood Property Trust (STWD), said Friday that a joint venture between one of its affiliates and a Land Strategies Management affiliate acquired 11 Texas master-planned communities from real estate investment manager Hines for about $800 million.
The communities, which are in "advanced stages of development," are located across Dallas, Houston and Austin, Starwood Capital said.
